7/3-Mile Walk
BEYOND 50
"A Healthy Way"
In the midst of celebrating 50 years as an independent nation, Bahamians are experiencing a high degree of health concerns that confront us, which include obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, etc. Health professionals recommend that if we move more and balance our food intake, it will improve our health, building “strong legs, strong heart”.
Therefore, we the members of The Foundation of Tri-athletes Inc. Exercise Club, a non-profit organization, are excited to stage its 7/3-mile walk from Fort Montagu/Fort Charlotte to Goodman’s Bay. This event is scheduled to be held on Whit Monday holiday, May 20th, 2024, at 6:30/7:30 a.m. All are welcome to participate.
The purpose of this event is to encourage physical activity within our community and raise awareness about the impacts of climate change in The Bahamas as we walk along the coastline.
